Mandate

The Centre for Research, Development, and In-House Training (CREDIT) was established in 2008. It was approved by the University of Ilorin Senate at its 193rd Special Meeting of Friday, 20th June, 2008.

Ojectives Of The Centre

Formulate new research policies and undertake periodic review of existing ones in line with international best practices and subject to the approval of the University Administration

Centre For Research

The purpose of the Centre is to promote excellence in research, development and In-House training that will enhance optimum performance of the University’s staff and students in its bid to attain a world-class status.

Development & In-House Training

Grant writing, workshop training for Academics in conjunction with New York University, School of Medicine and University of UTAH, USA in partnership with university of Ilorin

What We Offer

Process research project proposals submitted to the Central Research Committee (CRC) for peer review to improve their quality, approve and monitor research funds from the Senate Research Grant and other available grants

Full Bright Program

Funded by United States which offers senior faculty members from Nigerian universities, the opportunity to conduct research at U.S. institutions.

Research Grants

Awards of 3 to 9 months are offered under the research grants for Nigerian university faculty or research institute professionals to conduct research in U.S

Program &Curriculum Development Grants

Awards of 3 to 5 months are offered under program and curriculum development grants for Nigerian university

Research & Training Funding Subscriptions

The University Mgt. recently paid for the subscription of two Funding agencies, namely; Africa Gateway Science&Research Professional Africa

Grant Benefits

The grant covers the candidate’s J-1 visa, round trip airfare to the U.S,settling-in allowance, professional allowance etc

Aims Of The Centre

Implementing existing agreements between the University and other institutions or other bodies relating to research,also cooperate with other national and international research centers
